DeSean Jackson isn't a Washington Redskin.
He hasn't even met with the team yet.
But if he does, and if it goes well, and if he signs ... DeAngelo Hall will be ready.
Speaking Saturday night at a celebrity basketball event in Washington D.C., Hall was asked about the possibility of Jackson joining the Redskins. Two reports on Saturday indicated that Jackson plans to visit with the team this week.
Jackson and Hall have had their battles. Friday's NJ.com report, which detailed Jackson's apparent connection to Los Angeles gang members (see story), specifically referenced an incident between Jackson and Hall in the Eagles and Redskins' 2013 season opener, when Jackson appeared to use a Crips gang sign.
Jackson has reportedly garnered interest from a number of teams, but if he were to wind up in Washington, Hall told CSNWashington's Redskins Insider Tarik El-Bashir that he would take the former Eagle "under my wing."
DHall on possibility of landing DeSean Jackson: "If we could add a piece like that … if we could pull that off, it would make my year."— Tarik El-Bashir (@TarikCSN) March 29, 2014
DHall also wouldn't have concerns about DJax in locker room: "Our locker room has a good group of young guys, a good group of old guys."— Tarik El-Bashir (@TarikCSN) March 29, 2014

Separately, Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks took to Twitter on Saturday to stick up for his former Little League teammate.
