Weight: 199
Last team: San Francisco 49ers

Scouting report
Culliver, who was born in Philadelphia, has started 20 of the 46 games he’s played since San Francisco drafted him in the third round of the 2011 draft. He missed his third season after tearing his ACL but came back last year to start 14 games, and picked off four passes. He has seven career picks, two forced fumbles and returned an interception 35 yards for his only touchdown.

Geoff’s take
I like him as another cheaper alternative to Byron Maxwell. If Maxwell isn’t the guy, the Eagles can look to Culliver, Davon House, Brandon Flowers or Antonio Cromartie. Of those four, Culliver and House are the youngest and have the brightest future. Culliver has the build Chip Kelly seeks and he had the 10th-best passer rating against last year, according to Pro Football Focus. If he’s over some of the knucklehead issues that have dogged him in the past, then he’s as good of an option as anyone out there.

Roob’s take
Culliver, who struggled in 2012 and was hurt in 2013, played at a high level for the Niners this year, and at 6-feet it seems like he’d be a good fit in Bill Davis' scheme. I would just tread carefully since he has so little experience and has had only one consistently productive season. Cornerbacks are going to be in tremendous demand in free agency, and I could see somebody overpaying dramatically for a guy like Culliver. He’s good, but he’s not a star, and the last thing the Eagles need to do is overpay for a free-agent corner. Again.
