Scouting report
Wilson just finished his fourth season and first as a starter for the Dolphins, who grabbed him out of Montana with a seventh-round pick in 2011. Wilson started 13 games in 2014 after starting just eight in his first three seasons. His starts have been split at corner and safety for all four seasons. He has two career sacks, four interceptions and three forced fumbles. He made $645,000 last year in the final year of his rookie contract.

Geoff’s take
I really like this guy’s versatility and rise from being a seventh-round pick. I just can’t figure out where he’d benefit the Eagles. He’s too short to play corner, and the Eagles seem to have bigger ambitions at safety. He’d be a fine backup, but the Eagles have plenty of backup safeties and nickelbacks. I’m not against signing him but I don’t know what role he’d play.

Roob’s take
Just another guy. Doesn’t have great size, doesn’t have great speed, doesn’t have a great résumé. If he had any role here it would be as a backup swing guy, but I expect Jaylen Watkins to serve in that role. With Brandon Boykin and Nolan Carroll also serving as depth guys, I don’t see the need to spend a few million on Wilson.
