Eagles Inactives: Jason Peters active against Bucs

Eagles left tackle Jason Peters is active for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay at the Linc.

Peters, 33, hasn’t played since he left in the first quarter on Oct. 25 in Carolina with back spasms. Peters has a pinched nerve in his back, which has caused pain in his quad.

Peters will start at left tackle. In Peters' absence, Lane Johnson had been starting at left tackle.

On Thursday, head coach Chip Kelly said Peters wouldn’t practice but the veteran left tackle did as a limited participant. Peters then missed Friday’s walkthrough and was listed as questionable.

Sam Bradford (concussion, left shoulder) and Ryan Mathews (concussion) were ruled out on Friday.

Joining Bradford and Mathews among the inactives: CB Denzel Rice, OL Josh Andrews, OL Tanner Hawkinson, DE Brandon Bair, LB Emmanuel Acho.

Andrews was cleared from his concussion on Friday but is still inactive for Sunday’s game. That means Julian Vandervelde will be the Eagles’ backup center.

The Buccaneers' inactives: QB Ryan Griffin, WR Donteea Dye, S Kimario McFadden, G Ali Marpet, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, DE Josh Shirley, DE George Johnson. Wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who was questionable with a knee injury, is active.
