Eagles Inactives: Jason Peters out vs. Dolphins

Share

Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

Peters, 33, was listed as questionable coming into the game. He practiced this week and said he was “50-50” to return.

Without Peters, Lane Johnson will start at left tackle and Dennis Kelly will start at right tackle for the second straight game.

Peters missed last week’s game against the Cowboys. He left the Carolina game before the bye week with back spasms in the first quarter. This week, Peters said his back feels OK but he has pain in his quad caused by a pinched nerve in his back.

Joining Peters among the Eagles' inactive players are: OL Josh Andrews (concussion), S Jerome Couplin (shoulder), QB Thad Lewis, DE Brandon Bair, RB Kenjon Barner, LB Emmanuel Acho.

DeMeco Ryans will make his return against the Dolphins. He hurt his hamstring against the Giants and missed the last two games.

Nelson Agholor will also make his return. The first-round pick suffered a high ankle sprain against the Saints and hasn’t played since. He practiced in full last week but didn’t play against the Cowboys.

Even though Agholor is playing, Josh Huff will still start at receiver.

In a surprise move, Dolphins starting cornerback Brent Grimes is inactive. Grimes wasn't listed on the team's injury report this week.

The Dolphins' other in actives: LB Spencer Paysinger, C Sam Brenner, T Ulrick John, T Ja'Wuan James, WR Matt Hazel, TE Brandon Williams.
