Michael Vick (hamstring) will not play Sunday against the Cowboys. (AP)
As expected, Michael Vick is inactive for today’s game against the Cowboys at the Linc.
Nick Foles, coming off his win in Tampa, will make his second start of the season and second career start against Dallas. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. He passed for 296 yards and three touchdowns against the Bucs.
Vick, who pulled his hamstring two Sundays ago in the first half against the Giants, said Thursday he wouldn’t play against the Cowboys. Vick said he’s still trying to work out the knot in his upper left leg that forced him out of the game at MetLife Stadium.
Also inactive are safety Patrick Chung, cornerback Shaun Prater, running back Chris Polk, offensive tackles Matt Tobin and Dennis Kelly and defensive end/tackle Damion Square. Polk and Chung are dealing with shoulder injuries. The others are healthy scratches.
Rookie safety Earl Wolff will continue to start in Chung’s place. Rookie running back Matt Tucker, signed on Saturday from the practice squad, could make his NFL debut.
Vick, who hasn’t played 16 games in a season since 2006, is inactive for the first time this season. He didn’t play last week but was active and could have served as the No. 3 quarterback.
Demarcus Ware and Demarco Murray are inactive for Dallas.
