Eagles Injury Update: Byron Maxwell, Bennie Logan out vs. Giants

Share

Byron Maxwell (shoulder), Bennie Logan (calf) and Seyi Ajirotutu (ankle) have all been ruled out for the Eagles' season finale on Sunday.

Cornerback Jaylen Watkins (shin) is questionable, while OT Dennis Kelly (ankle) and Caleb Sturgis (hamstring) are probable.

Since this is the last game of the season, Maxwell, Logan and Ajirotutu have all played their last games of the 2015 season.

All three missed last week's game, too. In place of Maxwell and Logan, E.J. Biggers and Beau Allen started last week. Maxwell has a SC sprain. Logan told his teammates he was hoping to make it back for the playoffs, but now the Eagles won't be there. And Ajirotutu has a high ankle sprain, which are tough to get over. He said this week that he was having trouble pushing off on that leg.

It's possible the Eagles could decide to place any of the three players who are ruled out on injured reserve and sign a few other players to the active roster. That hasn't happened yet.

This final game against the Giants doesn't mean anything for the playoff picture, but will mean something for draft order. Also, whichever team loses will play St. Louis in England next season.
