Eagles Injury Update: Jason Peters misses practice Tuesday

Left tackle Jason Peters, who missed Sunday night’s game against the Cowboys, missed practice again on Tuesday.

Peters left the Carolina game before the Eagles' bye week on a cart in the first quarter with back spasms. He didn’t practice last week and was ruled out for the Cowboys game the day before. Lane Johnson took his spot at left tackle on Sunday in Dallas.

Joining Peters in the group of players who didn't practice inside the training bubble on a rainy Tuesday afternoon were safety Malcolm Jenkins and DB Jerome Couplin III. Jenkins played 100 percent of the defense’s snaps on Sunday night and appeared injury-free.

Back at practice on Tuesday were DeMeco Ryans (hamstring), Nelson Agholor (ankle) and Riley Cooper (foot).

Ryans and Agholor were inactive against the Cowboys. Ryans has missed the last two games with his hamstring injury. Agholor hasn’t played since the Saints game, when he suffered a high ankle sprain. He practiced in full all week but was still held out of Sunday night’s game.

Having Ryans back would be big for the Eagles after they lost Jordan Hicks for the season with a pec injury. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis said Ryans was "day to day." Hicks was put on IR Monday but was inside the bubble watching practice Tuesday. Fellow inside linebacker Kiko Alonso returned Sunday night, but on Tuesday, Davis said the team would still like to ease him back.

Cooper hurt his foot on Sunday night and played just nine snaps against the Cowboys.
