Eagles Injury Update: Marcus Smith probable; Seyi Ajirotutu out

Marcus Smith is officially listed as probable on the Eagles' injury report for their Week 2 game against the Cowboys (see scouting report).

Smith had been dealing with a hamstring injury that caused him to miss the Eagles' final three preseason games. It was a costly blow for the 2014 first-round pick, as he lost some developmental time after failing to register a stat last season.

One of the Birds' backups at outside linebacker, Smith said last week he thought he'd be 100 percent by Week 2. He was inactive for the season-opener Monday night in Atlanta, but was able to practice in full for the Eagles on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The only other Eagle listed on the injury report is wide receiver/special-teamer Seyi Ajirotutu, who suffered a concussion against the Falcons and is still going through the NFL's recovery protocol.

Moore fined
Falcons safety William Moore was fined $23,152 for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews in the opener, the NFL confirmed Friday. Moore initiated contact with the crown of his helmet but was not flagged on the play. Matthews popped right up.
