Just one day after letting him go, the Eagles on Wednesday signed linebacker Emmanuel Acho to their practice squad.
Acho was released Tuesday to make room on the 53-man roster for safety Keelan Johnson, who was promoted from the practice squad (see story). Acho now essentially takes Johnson's place.
Acho, 23, spent the preseason with the Eagles before being released on Sept. 2 when they signed linebacker Najee Goode. He then spent time on the Giants' practice squad before the Eagles signed him to their active roster again on Oct. 21.
A sixth-round pick by the Browns out of the University of Texas in 2012, Acho appeared in six games for the Eagles this season on special teams and defense before his release.
