The Eagles on Monday signed safety Brandan Bishop.

The 24-year-old went undrafted out of North Carolina State in 2013.

Bishop (6-1, 208) signed with the Minnesota Vikings after the draft but was released by the team on Aug. 25, 2014. He joined the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad on Dec. 24, 2014 and was later cut in May. He will wear No. 28 with the Eagles.

The Boca Raton, Florida native has not yet appeared in an NFL game in his career.

The move gives the Eagles an extra body at safety. The team waived Earl Wolff, who was teammates with Bishop for four years at N.C. State, with an injury designation on Friday afternoon.

Malcolm Jenkins and Walter Thurmond are the projected starters at safety. Behind them are special teamer Chris Maragos, Ed Reynolds, Jerome Couplin, Chris Prosinski and now Bishop.
