The Eagles on Monday waived running back Matthew Tucker with a non-football injury
ESPN's Adam Caplan first reported the move.
Tucker, 24, spent last season on the Eagles' practice squad. He had a productive preseason, rushing for 125 yards on 24 carries (5.2 yards/attempt) and a team-high four touchdowns.
He initially signed with the team in 2013 as a rookie free agent out of TCU. He was active for two games that season but played on special teams and didn't record a rushing attempt.
With Tucker gone, five running backs remain on the Eagles' roster: DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Kenjon Barner and Raheem Mostert, a rookie out of Purdue.
