For the second time in four weeks, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has been named NFL FedEx Air Player of the Week.

Foles beat out Drew Brees and Peyton Manning in online fan balloting among quarterbacks to win the award for his record-tying performance in the Eagles’ 49-20 win over the Raiders Sunday in Oakland.

Foles was 22-for-28 for 406 yards and matched the NFL record of seven touchdowns in a game shared by six other players.

He became the first player in NFL history to throw for 400 yards in a game with more touchdowns than incompletions and the third player in history with seven TDs and no INTs in a game.

Foles also won the FedEx Air Award for his performance last month in the Eagles’ 31-20 win in Tampa. Foles was 22-for-31 for 296 yards and four touchdowns – three passing, one rushing.

Despite playing only about 3 ½ games this year and ranking 33rd in the NFL with 118 pass attempts, Foles is 11th in the NFL with 13 touchdown passes and has yet to throw an interception.

Foles joins Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy as Eagles to win the FedEx award twice in their careers since its inception in 2003.

McNabb won it seven times (three times in 2004, once in 2005, twice in 2006, once in 2008), Westbrook twice (2006, 2007) and McCoy four times (2010, twice in 2011, 2013).

The FedEx Air and Ground award program raises money weekly for the Junior Achievement programs in the communities the winning players are from.
