The view from the press box in the first quarter of Sunday's Eagles-Lions game at the Linc. (Andy Schwartz/CSN)

The weather makes me want to call my buddies from when I was 12 and go to Ogontz Field (Elkins Park, Pa.) and play football.

Instead, we'll do what we always do during Eagles games. Here are news, notes, observations and tweets from Eagles-Lions at snowy Lincoln Financial Field.

For the latest stats and to watch our quarterly updates with Michael Barkann, Ray Didinger and Brian Westbrook, see In-Game Live. For our social media center, see Eagles Pulse. Here are your inactives.

The Lions have won the toss and will receive.

FIRST QUARTER

Kickoff slides inside the 10 and is returned by Jeremy Ross to the 16.

Lions' ball, own 16

THREE-AND-OUT: First play from scrimmage is a play-fake and pass to Kris Durham that flutters way short. Stafford fumbles the snap on the second play and gets a yard, and a screen pass to former Eagle Joique Bell on third down gets six. Nice punt to DeSean Jackson, who loses six yards on the return.

Eagles' ball, own 33

THREE-AND-OUT: Pass to Celek +2, neutral zone infraction on the Lions (how could the refs tell?), then a DeSean run loses 10, then LeSean McCoy gets 6 up the middle. Punt goes 28 yards and slides out at the Lions' 41.

INJURY: Reggie Bush (calf), return questionable. Word is it occurred during pregame warmups.

Lions' ball, own 41

TURNOVER: Joique Bell's fumble is recovered by Connor Barwin at the Eagles' 20 and upheld by replay. It spoils an actual drive by the Lions, during which Stafford fumbled the snap twice, completed a 7-yard pass to Calvin Johnson and a first down to Brandon Pettigrew, who slides for a 23-yard reception after a delay of game penalty gave the Lions a 3rd-and-15 when they had been stopped.

Eagles' ball, own 20

THREE-AND-OUT: LeSean loses five, gets it back, then incomplete on third down and a nice punt, 53 yards, by Donnie Jones. Ross returns it 13 yards.

Lions' ball, own 40

LIONS THREATENING: A big play - Calvin Johnson runs a post on Cary Williams and beats him for a 33-yard gain to the Eagles' 13 on 3rd-and-6. Bell runs for no gain on first down. Johnson now the leading receiver in Lions' history, with 9,175 yards. Moore finished his career with 9,174.

SECOND QUARTER

TURNOVER: Bell fumbles -- Barwin forced it, Patrick Chung recovers. Remember, the Lions entered the game with 25 giveaways - only the Jets (27) and Giants (31) had more.

Eagles' ball, own 15

THREE-AND-OUT: Foles incomplete to DeSean. LeSean runs for one, then on third down, Cooper can't hold to a pass over the middle, looks for a flag, sees nothing but white stuff. Another nice punt by Jones, 53 yards.

STAT CHECK: Eagles have yet to record a first down and have minus-1 yard of total offense. The Lions have five first downs and 111 yards. Hope you didn't play Foles in fantasy - he's 1 for 4 for two yards. But turnovers: Lions 2, Eagles 0.

Lions' ball, own 44

THREE-AND-OUT: Stafford fumbles a snap again -- his fourth of the game (none lost) -- and on 3rd-and-10 goes deep to TE Dorin Dickerson, who drops it (tough to call anything a drop today). Punt sails 29 yards.

Eagles' ball, own 32

TURNOVER: You figured it would happen today. Foles pass sails and is picked by Chris Houston, who returns it to the 20. It's Foles' first interception of the season; he falls a TD short of tying Peyton Manning's record of 20 TDs to start a season without an interception.

@RoobCSN: Nick Foles had thrown 238 consecutive passes without an interception, eighth-longest streak in NFL history.

Lions' ball, own 20

TOUCHDOWN: Bell holds on to the ball, runs in for the 2-yard score. Then Bell catches the 2-point conversion. Before that, Nate Burleson caught an 8-yard pass, and Bell caught a 10-yarder to set up his score.

Lions 8, Eagles 0

Drive: 5 plays, 20 yards, 2:04

Eagles' ball, own 20

HEY, A FIRST DOWN: LeSean runs for eight, then three to get the Eagles' first first down. But then he gets one, Foles fumbles the snap, and on 3rd-and-17, Bryce Brown runs for five. Punt.

Lions' ball, own 36

NICE DESEAN: Lions go three-and-out -- nice play by Mychal Kendricks to break up the pass on 3rd-and-6 -- but during the ensuing punt, Jackson doesn't even take his hands out of the warmer and watches safety Don Carey down it at the 11.

Eagles' ball, own 11

TURNOVER ON DOWNS: Finally a drive. The Eagles move the ball from their 11 -- thanks to Shady, Chris Polk and an 11-yard completion to DeSean -- to the Lions' 13 but can't score. Foles looks for Cooper in the front corner of the end zone, but Rashean Mathis bats it away. After a 5-yard pass to Cooper, they go for it on fourth down, and to Cooper again... Cooper leaps, and looks like the ball goes through his hands and hits him in the head. Tough one - he's falling back while trying to grab it - but catchable.

@GeoffMosherCSN: Wide 9 defense leaves that hole up the middle. Notice Eagles taking advantage, not using the stretch runs much.  #EaglesTalk

@GeoffMosherCSN: Conditions are tough, obviously, but that ball was in Riley Cooper's hands.  #EaglesTalk

HALFTIME: Lions 8, Eagles 0

THIRD QUARTER

Eagles' ball, own 20

PUNT: Shady runs 13 yards for a first down on 3rd-and-6, but that's it. Drive is six plays and a punt.

Lions' ball, own 25

PUNT: Bell tough run after catch gets 14 on 3rd-and-2. Theo Riddick runs twice -- nice shake on one run -- for 11 yards. But Kris Durham drop, and the Eagles hold Bell to two yards on 3rd-and-6. Hey, DeSean took his hands out of the warmers to catch the punt.

Eagles' ball, own 11

THREE-AND-OUT: McCoy loses six, gets 11 then Brown loses one. Punt...

TOUCHDOWN LIONS: Ross returns it 58 yards for a score, Lions don't get the two-point conversion.

Lions 14, Eagles 0

Eagles' ball, own 26

TOUCHDOWN? Foles finds DeSean +12, then deep to Cooper, who corrals it for 44 yards. Then Foles looks like he's going for Cooper in the end zone, but it floats to DeSean for the score. Replays show Jackson may have stepped (slid) out and come back in, but after further review the ruling on the field stands. On the two-point conversion, Foles throws a slider to LeSean, and it's no good. Poor pass there.

Lions 14, Eagles 6

Drive: 5 plays, 74 yards, 2:32

Lions' ball, own 29

PUNT: Lions move 21 yards. On 2nd-and-9, Stafford scrambles and is smothered by Mychal Kendricks. On 3rd-and-8, his pass is tipped by Fletcher Cox and bounces at Bell's feet.

Eagles' ball, own 20

FOURTH QUARTER

TOUCHDOWN: LeSean McCoy makes one Lion miss, steps out of the grasp of another and trudges for a 40-yard touchdown. Cooper started the drive with a 25-yard catch - nice step up and find by Foles. Eagles caught a break Nick Fairly was penalized for roughing the passer. Then on the two-point conversion, the Eagles get a second chance (first was over Zach Ertz's head) when the Ndamukong Sub is called for holding, and Bryce Brown runs in the conversion.

Eagles 14, Lions 14

Drive: 4 plays, 80 yards, 50 seconds

TOUCHDOWN: Ross returns the kickoff 98 yards for the TD. Now a 58-yard punt return and 98-yard kickoff return for a score. False start on two-point conversion, so David Akers attempts the extra point. It's blocked by Bennie Logan, Bradley Fletcher returns it - but it's a dead ball. Ref Ed Hochuli explains that in the NFL, a PAT can not be returned.

Lions 20, Eagles 14

Eagles' ball, own 24

TOUCHDOWN: LeSean McCoy bursts up the middle, Jason Avant takes out two Lions and is gone - 57 yards. Riley Cooper hauls in the conversion.

Eagles 22, Lions 20

Drive: 3 plays, 76 yards, 1:07

SHORT KICKOFF: Fielded by Riddick, +12.

Lions' ball, own 31

THREE-AND-OUT: Illegal man downfield penalty on 3rd-and-10, then Stafford throws it over Bell's head.

Eagles' ball, own 29

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "We're going to stop the game a moment and clear the goal line. We can't see the goal line." - Hochuli

TOUCHDOWN: On 4th-and-goal from the 1, Foles sneaks it in for the score. Before that: LeSean runs for 26, Foles for, uh, 20 and Brown for 17. Conversion incomplete.

Eagles 28, Lions 20

Drive: 7 plays, 71 yards, 4:02

KICKOFF: They kick it to Ross, who gets only 46 yards before being run out of bounds. Sheesh. On the Lions' last punt, Ross made the tackle on DeSean. Nice day.

@RoobCSN: LeSean 203 yards overall. 7-for-134 in the fourth quarter.

Lions' ball, own 48

TURNOVER: Bad snap, over Stafford's head, tries to pick it up - whoops - and Kendricks recovers. Stafford wasn't ready for the snap. That's five missed snaps by Stafford - first one he's lost. Third turnover.

Eagles' ball, own 40

**NEW RECORD: LeSean McCoy now has 206 yards rushing, breaking the Eagles' single-game record of 205 set by Steve Van Buren in 1949.

TOUCHDOWN: Chris Polk bursts up the middle for 38 yards.

Eagles 34, Lions 20

Drive: 6 plays, 60 yards, 4:17

Lions' ball, own 35

FOUR-AND-OUT. Detroit's done.

Eagles' ball, Lions' 35

WESTBROOK MOVE: Complete to Celek, who could have scored but slides around the 10 to run out the clock.

Final: Eagles 34, Lions 20 - LeSean McCoy finishes with a team-record 217 yards rushing on 29 carries and two touchdowns.
