Michael Vick warms up before Sunday's game against the Broncos. (AP)

News, notes, observations and tweets from Eagles-Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. For the latest stats and to watch our quarterly updates with Michael Barkann, Ray Didinger and Brian Westbrook, see In-Game Live. For our social media center, see Eagles Pulse.

Rookie safety Earl Wolff, as expected, will make his first NFL start, replacing the injured Patrick Chung. Here are the inactives.

Denver wins the toss and elects to defer, so the Eagles will receive.

First Quarter

Eagles' ball, own 20

THREE AND OUT: Eagles' first possession yields a little. LeSean McCoy runs for 3, incomplete to DeSean Jackson, and Michael Vick runs for four on 3rd-and-7. Punt.

Broncos' ball, own 26

THIRD-DOWN WOES CONTINUE: It's 3rd-and-9, and Donnie Avery  underneath, I mean TE Julius Thomas gets 13.

TOUCHDOWN: Manning had plenty of time on the drive, and now he finds Wes Welker for the third time. Earl Wolff is out of position and doesn't get to the flat fast enough to catch Welker, who scores from six yards out. As Reuben Frank noted when recalling Sean McDermott's game plan, disrupting Manning was critical, and it didn't happen on this drive. Welker three catches for 46 yards on the drive. Denver goes 2 for 2 on third down. Manning's 13th TD pass of the season.

Broncos 7, Eagles 0

Drive: 9 plays, 74 yards, 3:52

@GeoffMosherCSN: On the bright side, Manning already has two incompletions. He had just 5 on Monday night vs. Raiders.

@RoobCSN: Andy Reid has more wins over the NFC East this year than last year.

Damaris Johnson returns the kickoff and gets leveled after a 26-yard return to the 18.

Eagles' ball, own 18

TIGHT ENDS: Brent Celek with a 12-yard catch, James Casey for 23 -- his first catch as an Eagle -- but then a drop by Celek inside the 5 forces the Eagles to settle for a field goal.

FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT: Alex Henery hits from 35.

Broncos 7, Eagles 3

Drive: 11 plays, 65 yards, 4:16

TOUCHDOWN: Trindon Holliday gets a couple big blocks (a hold?) and returns it 105 yards for a score.

Broncos 14, Eagles 3

@GeoffMosherCSN: Jeff Maehl gets blocked, Jordan Poyer can't get off a block and Alex Henery ain't takin' another $16K fine. 105-yard TD return.

Eagles' ball, own 20

DeSEAN HURT: Jackson slides for a 14-yard gain on 3rd-and-5 but stays down ... and is back up. Eagles moving the ball well, mainly Vick and Bryce Brown before the catch by DeSean.

@GeoffMosherCSN: DeSean slow to get up, but does and goes to sideline. Damaris Johnson in. #EaglesTalk

HERE'S SHADY: Three straight runs and some nifty moves by LeSean gets 18.

@GeoffMosherCSN: #Eagles have 89 rushing yards already. Denver hadn't allowed more than 58 in any of their first three games. #EaglesTalk

Second Quarter

ANOTHER FIELD GOAL: DRC breaks up a pass to DeSean, Lane Johnson holding penalty ... Henery hits from 25.

Broncos 14, Eagles 6

Drive: 15 plays, 73 yards, 6:32

TIME OF POSSESSION: Who says it doesn't matter? Two Eagles' drives are their longest of the season -- previous was 3:58 -- but produce just two field goals.

MISTAKES: So far ... Celek's drop, Johnson penalty, and special teams meltdown.

Broncos' ball, own 20

THREE-AND-OUT: Welker falls down on 3rd-and-5. Eagles must capitalize on this.

NICE RETURN: Johnson for 21.

Eagles' ball, own 36

CATCH OR NOT: A 19-yarder by DeSean ruled a catch on the field, but DRC says no. Looks like the ball comes loose -- but was he already down?

@RoobCSN: Gotta be a catch, right? Ball came out after he was down.

A CATCH: Correct you are, Roob, it's a catch.

MORE DRC: Breaks up a pass to Jason Avant, Nice play.

BIG PLAY BRYCE: On 3rd-and-11, a screen to Brown and he has all kinds of room. Brown slips, somehow regains his footing before a Bronco arrives, and is finally taken down at the Denver 4. If he doesn't stumble, he probably scores.

TOUCHDOWN: Chris Polk runs in a four-yard score -- first career TD on first career rush. TV showing McCoy on sideline -- looks OK. The TD is under review for a while -- but finally confirmed. This time, Chip plays it safe and kicks the PAT instead of going for two.

@GeoffMosherCSN: LeSean McCoy "had the wind knocked out of him," is probable to return. #EaglesTalk

Broncos 14, Eagles 13

Drive: 7 plays, 64 yards, 2:10

Broncos' ball, own 23

TOUCHDOWN: Broncos run the ball seven times in an 11-play drive. Moreno caps it with a four-yard TD. Manning 4-for-4 for 35 yards. Not one third-down play during the drive either. Encroachment on Fletcher Cox doesn't help.

Broncos 21, Eagles 13

Drive: 11 plays, 80 yards, 6:01

Eagles' ball, own 20

WOW: Eagles face 4th-and-6 and the Broncos' 37. So they go for it? Nope. They attempt a 55-yard field goal? Nope. They take a delay of game and punt -- they can't keep it out of the end zone. Touchback. During the drive, Riley Cooper made a nice catch of a great pass by Vick for 15 -- Vick looked like he was going to throw it away. A toss to Shady gets 21, but a holding penalty on Evan Mathis costs them 10. Vick hangs in the pocket and looks for Ertz -- but the rookie misses the diving catch by inches. The Eagles catch a break when the DT Kevin Vickerson is called for a personal foul on the punt.

Broncos' ball, own 10

TURNING POINT: Manning completes a 52-yarder to Eric Decker, but after a completion to Demaryius Thomas, Knowshon Moreno shoves DeMeco Ryans after the play is over and is flagged. Then Cedric Thornton sacks Mannings, and suddenly the Broncos, who appear poised to score, are no longer in field goal position and punt. Vick takes a knee and runs out the clock.

HALFTIME: 21-13 Broncos

@NSlotkinCSN: Eagles 5 penalties in 1st half were huge...2 encroachments gave DEN 1st downs... 2 off. line holdings (1 in RZ, other negated huge gain)

Third Quarter

Broncos' ball, own 20

TOUCHDOWN: Manning lob to Demaryius Thomas for a one-yard score. During the drive, Peyton drew the Eagles offside again -- third time an offside gives Denver a first -- and the Broncos also benefited from a phantom pass interference call on Bradley Fletcher. Once again, they score without a third down and use a good mix of run and pass: five runs, five passes. Manning 5-for-5 for 44 yards on the drive and 18-for-23 for 213 overall. We knew not to sleep on Denver's running game.

Broncos 28, Eagles 13

Drive: 10 plays, 80 yards, 5:06

Eagles' ball, own 20

NO ANSWER: Eagles really needed to respond here, and they don't. After a nice 15-yard run, Shady drops a pass, and a sidearm toss to Celek is broken up by LB Danny Trevathan. Good coverage there. The Eagles punt -- another touchback when they could have pinned Denver deep in its own territory.

Broncos' ball, own 20

TOUCHDOWN: It's a clinic. Demaryius Thomas takes the WR screen and is almost untouched, 15 yards for the score. Nate Allen flies right by him. The defense looks just about done.

Broncos 35, Eagles 13

Drive: 8 plays, 80 yards, 3:12

Eagles' ball, own 20

THREE-AND-OUT: Vick sacked on 3rd-and-9 - punt.

@RoobCSN: That's 3 1/2 sacks this year and 73 in career by Shaun Phillips, former state shot put champion for Willingboro High School in South Jersey.

@GeoffMosherCSN: Lane Johnson stills struggling. #EaglesTalk

Broncos' ball, own 35

TOUCHDOWN: The clinic continues. This time it's 65-yard drive. Manning hits Welker in the flat, beats Brandon Boykin. Now the Eagles' D looks like the Washington Generals. Broncos execute scoring drives of 80, 80 and 65 yards this quarter and do so without reaching third down - 18 first downs this quarter.

Broncos 42, Eagles 13

Drive: 7 plays, 65 yards, 3:35

Fourth Quarter

TOUCHDOWN: Linebacker Steven Johnson flies in and blocks the punt, recovers it and scores.

Broncos 49, Eagles 13

Eagles' ball, own 35

FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT: Eagles drive to the Broncos' 28, and Henery misses a 46-yarder, not even close.

Broncos' ball, own 36

NEW QB: Second-year pro Brock Osweiler replaces Manning.

FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT: Matt Prater shows Henery how it's done, drills a 53-yarder.

Broncos 52, Eagles 13

Drive: 7 plays, 30 yards, 3:49

Eagles' ball, own 20

NEW QB: Nick Foles is in for Vick.

TOUCHDOWN: Foles to Jeff Maehl, six-yard TD.

Broncos 52, Eagles 20

Drive: 7 plays, 80 yards, 2:18

@RoobCSN: First time Eagles have allowed 50 since 1972 [in] a 62-10 loss to the Giants. Third time in franchise history they've allowed 50.

Final: 52-20 Broncos
