LANDOVER, Md. - News, notes, observations and tweets from Eagles-Redskins at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. For the latest stats and to watch our quarterly updates with Michael Barkann, Ray Didinger and Brian Westbrook, see In-Game Live. For our social media center, see Eagles Pulse.

Inactives: For the Eagles, QB Matt Barkley, CB Shaun Prater, OT Matt Tobin, OT Dennis Kelly, DE Vinny Curry and TE Emil Igwenagu. For the Redskins, QBs Pat White and Rex Grossman, RB Evan Royster, safeties Brandon Meriweather and Jose Gumbs, OL Josh LeRibeus and NT Chris Neild.

First Quarter

Eagles' ball, own 20

WARP SPEED: Here's the offense we've been waiting for. The Eagles in less than two minutes drive from their own 20 to the Redskins' 21, and, after Michael Vick missed an open Brent Celek, LeSean McCoy converts a 4th-and-1. Vick completes 3 of his first 5 for 50 yards -- and LeSean McCoy runs four times for 26 yards. He eluded several Redskins for 13 yards to Redskins' 13. That's nine plays in 2:31.

TURNOVER-TOUCHDOWN: Did that just happen? Vick throws to McCoy, it's deflected by LB Ryan Kerrigan and recovered and returned by DeAngelo Hall, who while everyone watches waltzes in for a 75-yard TD. It's ruled a lateral and a TD on the field but is under review -- and it stands. Eagles spot the Redskins seven points.

Redskins 7, Eagles 0

Eagles' ball, own 20

TAKE 2: Let's try this again. Vick laser to DeSean, +26. Shady +10. Eagles to the Redskins' 29 -- Vick has Avant but leads him by too much. Then Vick has Zach Ertz -- but throws behind him. Vick squeezes one to Ertz ... who bobbles and drops it, ruled incomplete.

FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT: Alex Henery attempts a 48-yarder ... but now they're reviewing the previous play. Looks like a drop on the replay -- most likely not enough to reverse the decision on the field (unless they're seeing different replays). Ruling confirmed - incomplete.

FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT: Henery's FG is good.

Redskins 7, Eagles 3

Drive: 9 plays, 51 yards, 2:39

@GonzoCSN: Questionable execution on offense at times, but you can see the promise.

Redskins' ball, own 20

BIG CHEERS: For RG3 ... or maybe the Eagles' defense?

TURNOVER: A diving Trent Cole jars the ball from Alfred Morris, and Mychal Kendricks recovers.

Eagles' ball, Redskins' 25

TOUCHDOWN: Vick has all day to throw ... maybe two days ... and finds DeSean in the back of the end zone for the TD. Jackson was a mile ahead of Hall.

Eagles 10, Redskins 7

Drive: 1 play, 25 yards, 8 seconds

@RoobCSN: The Eagles are even getting Alex Henery on the field fast. #Eaglestalk

Redskins' ball, own 20

NICE D: Connor Barwin and Kendricks string out Morris for a loss of three.

TURNOVER: Another one! RG3 has time ... and throws over the middle to Santana Moss ... but there are three Eagles there, and Brandon Boykin makes the interception.

@RoobCSN: That's Boykin's first career interception. Eagles forced three turnovers in last 8 games last year. Have two already tonight. #Eaglestalk

@GonzoCSN: Eagles fans remembering what it was like to have fun watching football. #Eaglestalk

Eagles' ball, Redskins' 48

SACK: After an offensive PI penalty and a short run, Perry Riley levels Vick for a sack, forcing a 3rd-and-24. McCoy gets seven, and the Eagles punt.

NICE PUNT: Donnie Jones' 34-yarder is fair caught by Chris Thompson at his own 5 -- questionable decision even with Boykin standing right behind him.

Redskins' ball, own 5

SAFETY: Morris can't catch the pitch from RG3 - a bit ahead of him but as one reporter points out, it's an E-3, gotta be caught - and falls on it in the end zone. Cole is credited with the safety.

Eagles 12, Redskins 7

Eagles' ball, own 36

SLIDE? Vick scrambles for 11 on 3rd-and-9 - but dives head first and is smacked by Hall.

@GeoffMosherCSN: Shady McCoy already with 61 rushing yards on 10 carries.

THIRD DOWN: Vick can't connect with Riley Cooper - pass deflected. Eagles punt - this one's a touchback.

Redskins' ball, own 20

MORE TRENT: Cole stops Morris for no gain.

PLAY BY PLAY: Courtesy of Reuben Frank and John Gonzalez, team record for most plays run in a game: 91 (in regulation - 96 in OT). Most plays the Eagles ran in a game last year: 88. Patriots led the NFL last season with an average of 74.4 with a high of 92. Eagles were 6th at 67.4. Eagles had 30 plays in the first quarter. NFL record: Redskins -- 110 plays in 1990, overtime win over the Lions. Most in a non-OT game is 95 by the Packers in 1986 (last two courtesy of Redskins writer Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch).

Second Quarter

PUNT: Damaris Johnson fair catch at own 17.

Eagles' ball, own 17

TURBO BOOST: DeSean catches a pass at the sideline and turns on the jets for 12 yards. Seven plays in 2:32 and the Eagles are at midfield. Redskins' DL Chris Baker is down - it's announced as right leg cramps.

@GonzoCSN: Redskins have almost as many "injuries" as yards. #Eaglestalk

SACKED: Vick on 3rd-and-6 is taken down by Kerrigan. Eagles punt - Jones drills a 52-yarder to the Redskins' 6, returned five yards but 'Skins penalty erases the return.

Redskins' ball, own 6

UGLY: Incomplete, too far for Pierre Garcon. Cary Williams on the coverage ... then RG3 way off target - misscommunication there? - again to Garcon. Redskins punt.

@Good coverage by Cary Williams on that deep pattern. Both went hard to the ground. Amazingly, no fight.

Eagles' ball, own 38

DESEAN GETS AWAY WITH ONE: After converting a 3rd-and-8 with a 14-yard catch on a cross, DeSean is horse-collared out of bounds by Hall -- and gets up and pushes Hall down. Personal foul on Hall, nothing on DeSean.

TOUCHDOWN: Vick zips it to Brent Celek - safety Baccari Rambo whiffs - 28 yards for the score.

Eagles 19, Redskins 7

Drive: 5 plays, 62 yards, 4:07

@RoobCSN: Total yards: 264 to 46.

MORE GOOD SPECIAL TEAMS: Thompson takes the kickoff out and is stopped at the 9 by Chris Polk.

Redskins' ball, own 9

SACK: Cary Williams comes on a blitz and nails RG3. ... Then Barwin chases down RG3 on 3rd-and-11 and holds him to a 2-yard gain. Punt.

Eagles' ball, Redskins' 44

RUNNING MAN: Shady hops by London Fletcher, +8. Then on 3rd-and-2, more sneaky moves by Shady, snakes his way for 12, then 10 more. Then it's Bryce Brown's turn - a six-yard run and a two-yarder puts the ball on Washington 6 at the two minute warning. LeSean: 115 yards on 20 carries. DeSean 7 catches for 104.

@RoobCSN: DeSean's 16th career 100-yard games is 4th-most in franchise history: T1. Quick (21), T1. Retzlaff (21), 3. Carmichael (20), 4. DeSean (16).

TOUCHDOWN: Vick three-yard run. Wow.

Eagles 26, Redskins 7

Drive: 9 plays, 44 yards, 3:12

Redskins' ball, own 13

KENDRICKS: Chases down RG3, who is called for intentional grounding. Then they're flagged for holding. The Redskins take two 10-second runoffs.. halftime.

Halftime - Eagles 26, Redskins 7

Third Quarter

Redskins' ball, own 20

TURNOVER: Great diving interception by Cary Williams on pass intended for Garcon. That's their third turnover and second pick of the game.

Eagles' ball, Redskins' 30

TOUCHDOWN: Shady skips over CB E.J. Bigger, who grabs nothing but air, and jogs in for the 34-yard touchdown.

Eagles 33, Redskins 7

Drive: 2 plays, 30 yards, 34 seconds

Redskins' ball, own 21

FINALLY: The Redskins for the first time advance into Eagles' territory - an eight-yard completion to Garcon to the Eagles' 45. The Eagles in the first half ran 35 plays in Redskins' territory.

SACK: RG3 is sacked by DeMeco Ryans, pushing the 'Skins back to the Eagles' 22 ... and on 3rd-and-19, a short toss to Moss is dropped.

FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT: Kai Forbath from 40 ... it's wide right.

Eagles' ball, own 30

PUNT: First real ugly possession of the night ends with an unsportsmanlike penalty on Celek, then an illegal formation penalty on a punt. But Donnie Jones, after a 57-yarder is erased, booms a 61-yarder.

@RoobCSN: Let's not forget special teams either. Great tackle there by rookie Jordan Poyer.

Redskins' ball, own 34

TOUCHDOWN: Redskins second productive drive of the game, and this time it pays off as Morris runs in a five-yard score.

Eagles 33, Redskins 14

Drive: 8 plays, 66 yards, 3:30

Eagles' ball, own 19

Fourth Quarter

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Vick throws a block and gets plastered on a Shady run +3 on 2nd-and-2.

TURNOVER: Complete to Jason Avant ... CB Josh Wilson jars it loose and Perry Riley recovers for the 'Skins. Play is under review. Ball appears to have been out - can't see conclusive evidence otherwise.

Redskins' ball, Eagles' 29

TOUCHDOWN: Uh oh. Go to sleep yet? Four plays and we have a game. Leonard Hankerson 10-yard TD from RG3. The two-point conversion is incomplete.

Drive: 4 plays, 29 yards, 1:22

Eagles 33, Redskins 20

Eagles' ball, own 20

SLIDE? Vick dives +7. Then he fakes the handoff and takes off +36.

3RD-5, SKINS' 32: Incomplete pass ... holding penalty, now 3rd-and-15. Shanahan takes the penalty instead of allowing the Eagles to attempt a 52-yarder. Vick's pass sails over DeSean and out of bounds. Punt. At least the Eagles took their time to give the defense a rest. Another nice punt - 36-yarder to the Redskins' 6, out of bounds.

Redskins' ball, own 6
CUSHION: 18-yard completion to Joshua Morgan ... 6-yarder, 9-yarder, 11-yarder ... Eagles playing soft. Redskins moving the ball easily. RG3 completes five straight, moves 'Skins to Eagles' 42, before an incompletion.

BIG STOP: Incomplete to Moss - good coverage by Boykin - and then Cedric Thornton bats down a pass to force third down. RG3 escapes ... and throws incomplete to Hankerson, who can't make the fingertip grab. Redskins go for it on fourth - but a false start moves them back five ... and Cary Williams make a nice leaping play to knock down a pass over the middle to Aldrick Robinson.

Eagles' ball, own 42

BIG PENALTY:  A delay of game moves a 3rd-and-2 to a 3rd-and-7 ... Vick finally finds Avant, who dives/stretches for the first down. Eagles use their first timeout.

REDSKINS OUT OF TIMEOUTS: They call their final two, Eagles 3rd-and-6 at the Washington 44 .. Vick dives +2. Eagles punt with four minutes remaining. Jones' punt fair caught at his 11.

Redskins' ball, own 11, 3:42 left

SACK: Fletcher Cox takes down Griffin.

WHOOPS: RG3 lofts a rainbow that will be picked by Patrick Chung caught by Hankerson for a 24-yard TD. Chung will see that sail over his hands in his nightmares.

Eagles 33, Redskins 27 - 1:14 left

Drive: 9 plays, 89 yards, 2:28

Onside kick: grounder to shortstop ... Avant can't control it, is hit by a Redskins, but somehow recovers to gain possession.

Victory formation

Final: Eagles 33, Redskins 27
