Gunn's Bullet Points: Wolff, Curry, Cox and more

Derrick Gunn gives you his bullet points for the Eagles' Week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs:

● If Earl Wolff is the Eagles' safety of the future, then make the commitment now. Give him the first-team reps in practice and let him go out and play. The only way to learn from his mistakes is in live action. Let's face it -- can he do much worse than the other defensive backs?

● After the Chargers' first offensive series, the Eagles' defensive front got no pressure on Phillip Rivers. Calling Vinny Curry! There's no reason he shouldn’t be on the field instead of street clothes. Every time Chip Kelly and defensive coordinator Bill Davis are asked about Curry, they give a vague response. You can't tell me they have six linemen better than Curry. Several people in the know have told me he's not in the coaches' doghouse. Well if that's the case, let this young pup hunt.

● San Diego did an excellent job of taking away the run from the Birds, but the Chargers paid for it through the air. It's imperative the eagles get LeSean Mccoy going, because if not Andy Reid, who knows Michael Vick well, will send his rushers after him.

● Akeem Jordan seems to have found new life in Kansas City. The former Eagle is one of the Chiefs' starting linebackers in their 3-4 scheme. He's fifth on the team in tackles with nine and has a forced fumble.

● Brandon Boykin wants to play more on the outside and has shown that he's capable of handling his own on the island at cornerback, but if he get's more reps there, it weakens the nickel situation. If Bradley Fletcher, who's returning from a concussion, is shaky on the outside, Boykin may get his wish.

● Should the Eagles consider moving Fletcher Cox to nose tackle? Isaac Sopoaga has given the defense very little at that position.

● Reid was 3-0 vs. Kansas City when he coached the Eagles. Now that's he's on the other side, I hope that's not a bad omen for the Birds.
