OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck is retiring after 11 seasons in the NFL.

Tuck announced his decision Monday and says he leaves the NFL with very few regrets.

"After months of praying and careful consideration, I have decided to retire from the game of football," Tuck said on Facebook. "I've had 11 great years and, honestly, I leave with very few regrets."

Tuck played his first nine seasons with the New York Giants, helping them win two Super Bowl titles. He spent the past two years in Oakland where he was a mentor to All Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack.

"Justin Tuck is a leader and a true professional on and off the field," Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said. "His commitment to his teammates and the organization was awesome, and he was a pleasure to coach. I wish Justin and his family nothing but the best."

Tuck was an All-Pro in 2008 when he had 12 sacks. He finishes his career with 66 1/2 sacks, 22 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and three interceptions in 147 career games. Tuck missed the final 11 games this season with a torn pectoral muscle (see full story).

Broncos: Team buses in minor accident
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- A team spokesman says nobody was injured after the Denver Broncos' buses were involved in a minor accident following their practice at Stanford Stadium on Monday.

The buses carrying players and staff were on their way back to the team hotel in Santa Clara when the accident occurred.

Team spokesman Patrick Smyth said nobody was injured in the accident on the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 101, but he had no information on what caused the fender bender.

Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware tweeted a photo of police investigating the accident.

"To keep the day interesting, we have a small wreck," he posted. "Looks like everyone is ok though."

The Broncos and Carolina Panthers, who meet in Super Bowl 50, make their first public appearances at media day on Monday night.

Broncos: Elway won't rush Manning decision
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- John Elway realizes as well as anyone just how difficult a decision it is for an elite quarterback to retire, and he has no plans of putting pressure on Peyton Manning to make up his mind right away.

Still, the Denver Broncos are going to do whatever they can to keep backup Brock Osweiler around, too, and not lose him in free agency.

"It's one that is going to change his life, whether it be this year, next year or the year after." Elway, the franchise's general manager and vice president said from his seat in the stands at Monday's Super Bowl media night. "It's always a hard decision. We'll give him plenty of time. ... Bottom line is Peyton's going to make the best decision for him."

Elway said that no matter what Manning decides, Osweiler is in the plans going forward. He started seven games this season for the AFC champions as Manning struggled while dealing with a foot injury, passing for 1,967 yards and 10 touchdowns with an 86.4 quarterback rating.

"We're hoping to get something done with Brock this offseason," Elway said. "Obviously Brock is a guy that came in and played very well for us this year. We wouldn't be here without him. We needed both quarterbacks. We wouldn't be here without both of them" (see full story).

Browns: Fans boycotting Manziel for month on Twitter
CLEVELAND -- Floating on an inflatable swan was one thing. Being hunted by a police helicopter was too much.

Johnny Manziel's hijinks have driven some fans of the Cleveland Browns to the edge, and they are sacking the headline-grabbing quarterback for a month -- or maybe longer.

Tired of Manziel's off-field transgressions, the latest being a possible assault of his ex-girlfriend over the weekend in Texas, fans have started a "Johnny Free February" movement on Twitter.

"I'm done with him," said Chris McNeil, a diehard Browns fan whose 8-year-old daughter, Riley, came up with the idea for a social media boycott after hearing about more bad news involving Manziel.

"She asked me what we discuss on Twitter and I told her Johnny Manziel," he said. "She rolled her eyes and said, `Why don't you take the month off?' Out of the mouths of babes" (see full story).
