The illegal block Nick Foles threw in Sunday's loss to the Vikings did more than just take a touchdown away from DeSean Jackson.

It took away some of Foles' salary, too.

The NFL fined the Eagles' quarterback $10,000 for the penalty, a peel-back clip on Vikes linebacker Erin Henderson. The Eagles ran a 4th-and-1 reverse, with Jackson scampering around the left side and scoring a 15-yard touchdown.

The touchdown was called back because of Foles' illegal block, which probably wasn't necessary. Earlier this week, Chip Kelly said Foles was responsible for sealing off Henderson but didn't execute the block properly.

The Eagles trailed 10-3 in the second quarter at the time of the penalty and would have tied the game if Jackson's touchdown had stood. They lost 48-30 at the Metrodome and had their five-game win streak snapped.
