Place your bets: Eagles Super Bowl odds improve

DeMarco Murray said one of the main reasons he came to the Eagles was that he thought the team had a chance to win a Super Bowl. Granted, the $21 million in guaranteed income he received probably didn't hurt, either.

Murray's former team may have the better odds according to Bovada, but he has helped the Birds bridge the gap since odds were released back on Feb. 2.

The Eagles went from 20/1 up to 18/1 after their early offseason frenzy, while Dallas went from 14/1 to 16/1 after losing the NFL's leading rusher. The teams' odds are the seventh and sixth best in the NFL.

The biggest leap came from Indianapolis (8/1). The Colts moved ahead of Denver (12/1) after signing a bevy of veteran free agents, including former Eagles Trent Cole and Todd Herremans.

The top three teams remained the same, however. Green Bay and defending Super Bowl Champion New England share the same odds (7/1) and NFC Championship Seattle (6/1) remains the favorite to capture its second title in three years, according to Bovada.
