PST: Eagles' New Year's resolution should be…

After the Eagles failed to reach the postseason with a 10-6 record, we all know that change is imminent.

So with 2014 coming to a close, there isn't a better time to discuss the future of the Birds.

On Tuesday's edition of Philly Sports Talk, former Eagle Quintin Mikell was asked what he thinks Chip Kelly's New Year's resolution should be.

"My New Year's resolution would be to get under center a little bit more," Mikell said. "I do believe the shotgun is a very good offense, a very good scheme, but the Eagles' offense, when they got under center, it was almost like the defense was surprised, like they didn't know what to do."

Mikell praised the Eagles' offensive linemen for "surging off the ball" when they lined up under center and for "taking the fight" to the opposition's defensive line.

"It was a whole different offense when they did that," he said.
