Quick Slants: Can Eagles survive struggling WRs?

Nick Foles currently ranks second in the NFL in passing yards, but it hasn't been his wide receivers who have been catching all those passes.

Jeremy Maclin, Riley Cooper and Jordan Matthews haven't put up big numbers so far this season. They've combined for only 233 receiving yards on 16 catches, despite being targeted 41 times. Though tight end Zach Ertz and running back Darren Sproles have helped to pick up the slack, the Eagles need their wide receivers to get things going.

“Riley Cooper can’t separate from me and you, Roob,” CSN's Derrick Gunn quipped to Reuben Frank on Wednesday's Quick Slants.

Even Maclin’s 142 yards are deceiving, as 68 of them came on a busted-coverage TD against the Jaguars in Week 1. Drops have been an issue as well, especially in Monday’s win over the Colts.

Frank and Gunn weighed in on the problem more on Tuesday's edition Quick Slants. For the full discussion, see the video above.
