OFFENSE (24)

Quarterbacks (3)

In: Michael Vick, Nick Foles, Matt Barkley
Out: Dennis Dixon, G.J. Kinne

Comment: This position was settled back in the spring. Vick, Foles and Barkley weren’t going anywhere, and we really never saw very much of Dixon and Kinne.

(Update: Dixon and Kinne were cut on Friday afternoon.)

Running backs (3)

In: LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown, Chris Polk
Out: Matthew Tucker

Comment: Pretty talented running back group right here. And Tucker, who’s shown some good things, is a practice squad possibility.

Wide receivers (5)

In: DeSean Jackson, Jason Avant, Riley Cooper, Damaris Johnson, Russell Shepard
Out: Greg Salas, Jeff Maehl, Ifeanyi Momah, Will Murphy
Comment: The last spot comes down to Shepard vs. Salas vs. Maehl, but I’ll give it to Shepard because of his versatility. I think Chip Kelly will find a way to use the rookie from LSU.

(Update: Momah and Murphy were cut on Friday afternoon.)

Tight ends (3)

In: Brent Celek, James Casey, Zach Ertz
Out: Clay Harbor [trade], Emil Igwenagu
Comment: A lot of people seem to be down on Celek, but he’s had a very good preseason, and I think he’ll have a good year. Ertz too. I like Harbor, but even Chip Kelly doesn’t need four. He goes for a late-round pick.

Offensive line (10)

In: Jason Peters, Lane Johnson, Evan Mathis, Todd Herremans, Jason Kelce, Allen Barbre, Matt Tobin, Michael Bamiro, Dennis Kelly, Matt Tennant
Out: Matt Kopa, Dallas Reynolds, Julian Vandervelde, Danny Watkins
Comment: Eagles should have a very good starting five, but the backups don't have a ton of experience. Won't be able to afford any key injuries.

(Update: Kopa, Tennant and Reynolds were cut on Friday afternoon.)

DEFENSE (26)

Defensive line (8)
In: Cedric Thornton, Isaac Sopoaga, Fletcher Cox, Bennie Logan, Damion Square, Clifton Geathers, Vinny Curry, Joe Kruger
Out: Dave King, Antonio Dixon
Comment: If it were up to me, I’d cut Sopoaga – who’s due a $2.375 million roster bonus next week – and start Logan, then find a backup nose tackle on the waiver wire. But it’s not going to happen. Other than Sopoaga, this is a promising group of young linemen.

(Update: King and Dixon were cut on Friday afternoon; Kruger was placed on IR.)

Linebacker (8)

In: Trent Cole, Connor Barwin, DeMeco Ryans, Mychal Kendricks, Brandon Graham, Chris McCoy, Jake Knott, Emmanuel Acho
Out: Travis Long, Everette Brown, Casey Matthews, Adrian Robinson
Comment: McCoy, Knott and Acho may not have started camp as likely keepers, but they’ve all had very good preseasons.

(Update: Brown and Robinson were cut on Friday afternoon.)

Secondary (10)

In: Cary Williams, Bradley Fletcher, Brandon Boykin, Patrick Chung, Nate Allen, Earl Wolff, Kurt Coleman, Jordan Poyer, Colt Anderson, Brandon Hughes
Out: Curtis Marsh (IR), David Sims, Trevard Lindley
Comment: The Eagles will try to find a corner on the waiver wire, but there probably won’t be much of an upgrade there.

(Update: Lindley was cut on Friday afternoon.)

SPECIALISTS (3)

In: Alex Henery, Donnie Jones, Jon Dorenbos
