Sam Bradford inactive; Mark Sanchez will start vs. Lions

DETROIT -- Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is officially inactive for the team’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Lions at Ford Field.

That means Mark Sanchez will make his second consecutive start.

Bradford was knocked out of the Dolphins game in the third quarter. He suffered a concussion and a separated left shoulder. Bradford was cleared from the concussion earlier this week but said his non-throwing shoulder was his biggest obstacle to clear.

While Bradford is out, Jason Kelce and Jason Peters, who were both also listed as questionable, are active for the Eagles.

Kelce will start for the Eagles after coming into Thursday listed as questionable with a knee injury. Kelce appeared on the injury report Tuesday and didn’t practice Tuesday or Wednesday. Kelce was on the field early before the game, testing his knee. Josh Andrews and Julian Vandervelde are active and will back up Kelce.

Peters played last week but took himself out of the game early when the game got out of hand. He has been dealing with a pinched nerve in his back that has been causing pain in his quad.

Zach Ertz (concussion) and Ryan Mathews (concussion) were ruled out earlier in the week.

Joining them among the inactive players: DE Brandon Bair, CB Denzel Rice, OL Tanner Hawkinson, WR Jonathan Krause.

Lions' inactives: WR TJ Jones, S Isaiah Johnson, OT LaAdrian Waddle, OT Corey Robinson, TE Tim Wright, DT Gabe Wright, DT Jermelle Cudjo.
