The NFL season begins Thursday night when the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers.

For the Eagles, their season begins Sunday at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1:00 p.m./CBS).

Malcolm Jenkins is entering his first season as an Eagle, and while he believes the defense will be improved from last season, it's the team's attitude that impresses him most.

"When I got here, no one was happy that, 'Oh yeah, we made the playoffs last year.' It wasn't a good thing," Jenkins told CSN's Steve Bucci. "Everybody felt like the team was shorter, they felt like it ended too early. And that's a great mentality to have when you talk about trying to build a program that expects to be great, that expects to win."
