Dennis Kelly has some real staying power.

The Eagles have extended the veteran offensive lineman through 2017, a league source confirmed to CSNPhilly. According to ESPN's Field Yates, who first reported the deal, the extension adds $880,000 of new money.

Kelly was set to enter the final year of his current contract, which will pay him a base salary of $760,000 in 2016.

In 2015, Kelly played in 14 games and started two. In his four-year career with the Eagles after being drafted in the fifth round out of Purdue, he's played in 30 games with 15 starts. Kelly is a backup offensive guard and tackle, who hasn't been a starting caliber player, but does provide depth at both positions.

Kelly, 26, has quietly become one of the longest-tenured Eagles. Now on his third head coach, he was a part of the 2012 draft class that included Fletcher Cox, Mychal Kendricks and Vinny Curry. Only Jon Dorenbos, Brent Celek, Jason Peters, Jason Kelce and Brandon Graham have been with the team longer.
