Source: Vinny Curry active against Chiefs

Defensive end Vinny Curry will be active for Thursday night's game against Kansas City, a team source told CSNPhilly.com.

Curry, the second-year defensive end, was inactive for the team's first two games even after an impressive preseason.

But the Eagles haven't generated a consistent pass rush, especially from their second-string line of Bennie Logan, Clifton Geathers and Damion Square.

Curry, a 2012 second-round pick, added pounds in the offseason to prepare for his adjustment to a 3-4 scheme after playing outside last year in the wide nine.

Curry, the former Marshall star who was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2011, is still looking for his first NFL sack. He was inactive for his first 10 games last year as a rookie.
