Twitter briefly exploded this morning when Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov left practice after just 10 minutes, and was replaced in goal by he who must not be named.
Now, to go along with the uncertain status of Nicklas Grossmann, Howard Eskin is reporting that Bryz has a hip injury and will be a game-time decision Friday night.
With Eskin on record, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren is refuting that report:
And there you have it: conclusive evidence that Ilya Bryzgalov may or may not be injured.
Of course, as is being pointed out on the social media outlets, Eskin has had an inside track on Flyers injuries before, even when the organization was publicly taking an opposing stance. It's also worth note that Bryz leaving a practice early is not at all out of the ordinary. So we'll just have to see how this one plays out. Oh, by the way...
As an aside, you'll notice both tweets agree on the status of one James van Reimsdyk. Read more on his possible return here.
