After scoring a goal earlier in the game, Danny Briere got pissed and dropped the gloves for only the third time in his career. His combatant was Ottawa Senators' Kyle Turris who appeared to give Danny a bit of a cut on his nose. The judges' card had it as a split decision.
Perhaps the best part of the whole incident was the entire Wells Fargo Center crowd chanting "Dan-ny! Dan-ny! Dan-ny!" after the bout.
The game was tied 1-1 in the third period as of this posting.
