Mason can't carry Flyers past Rangers as Philly's season comes to an end

The Philadelphia Flyers 2013-2014 season is over. They lost game 7 at MSG by a final of 2-1 on Wednesday night in New York.

Steve Mason pretty much did everything he could to give the Flyers a chance in Game 7 but shaky defensive play, turnovers, and the Captain's inability to put the puck in an open net will be the story lines as the long offseason begins.

I don't know what to say at this point. At least they fought back to make it exciting until the very end? The Rangers were the better team on the night and in the series. Philly finally gets a hot goalie in the playoffs and the rest of the team came up small.

The Rangers left the game and the series be right there for the Flyers' taking. The orange and black failed to get it done and their season is over.

More a bit later...
