Rangers Fan in Geno's Fight Video Was a Cop; Flyers Fan ‘Fesses Up on BSH Facebook

That fight video Enrico posted Tuesday night, featuring a blurry but nasty flurry of punches exchanged between Flyers fans and Rangers fans outside of Geno's Steaks in South Philly, has been making the rounds, drawing plenty of feedback at every landing. Broad Street Hockey ran a post on it Wednesday, calling out those involved with some strong criticism. When they posted a link to it on Facebook, someone responded saying it was him throwing the haymaker (and various other things you can read over at BSH), an exchange that they posted here. BSH then notified the Philly police, who were looking into the fight, which was reported on by several news sites as well.

And on Wednesday night, the Star-Ledger reported that one of the Rangers fans in the video was an off-duty Woodbridge, New Jersey cop. Puck Daddy adds that he is an Iraq War vet, and that he was awarded a Purple Heart. Hooo boy…
