That Sound You Hear Is Brayden Schenn Banging on the Door

The eyes of the hockey world are fixated on the return of Mike Richards to Philadelphia in an LA Kings uniform tonight. However, before tonight, there hasn't been much Richie and Carter talk in Philly through three games, in large part because the team is playing so well with its new pieces. One of those players is Brayden Schenn, the highly regarded prospect who came back in the Richards deal along with Wayne Simmonds.

Schenn started the season in Adirondack, marking one of the most exciting things to happen there since the Phantoms moved north from the Spectrum. However, it doesn't appear he'll be there long. It never really did, as there was a decliner in his contract that saw it just about halved by Schenn's spending any time in the AHL.

It appears as if he wants out, soon. Through two games, Schenn already has 5 points, including a hat trick for the Phantoms last night against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Three games into the NHL season, there's plenty to be excited about in Philly.
