The Flyers already have salary cap issues going into the 2013-14 season. Now they will now have to deal with a bonus overage carryover, as well.

Sources tell CSNPhilly.com the Flyers will have a 2012-13 performance bonus overage of $182,927 tacked onto this coming season’s cap, courtesy of Brayden Schenn and Sean Couturier.

The overage is not entirely bad news, however, because if their players are earning bonuses, something is going right. Actually, these are bonuses the Flyers are happy to pay out.

Schenn finished among the top six forward” on the club in total ice time (he was fifth) with 729 minutes, 52 seconds. That earned him a $124,390 bonus.

Couturier finished among the top six forwards in average ice time (he was fifth) with 15:53. That earned him a $58,537 bonus.
