After missing Tuesday's game in St. Louis, Kimmo Timonen is expected to return to the Flyers' lineup Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Wells Fargo Center.

“He’ll be ready to go,” coach Craig Berube said. “I wouldn’t say we gave him a breather. He’s an older guy and you’re a little banged up and stuff, it’s important to get a little bit of a break.”

Timonen was hit in the chin with a shot in the second period of Sunday’s shootout loss to the Boston Bruins. He was listed as day to day and didn't travel to St. Louis.

Erik Gustafsson, who had been a healthy scratch 14 games in a row before the Blues game, took Timonen's spot in the lineup.

Timonen has five goals and 27 assists in 71 games this season.
