It was expected and now it's official.

On June 17, CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio reported that according to NHL sources, the Flyers and Mark Streit had agreed in principle to a four-year, $21 million deal.

Now, with the cap space available, the Flyers on Friday night announced they have filed Streit's contract.

Streit, 35, will enter his eighth NHL season in 2013-14. Last season, Streit logged 23 minutes of ice time per game and compiled 27 points with 21 assists and six goals.

Streit also played all 82 games of the 2009-10 and 2011-12 seasons.
