Flyers Notes: Laviolette shuffles up all lines at practice

Peter Laviolette has shown he’s not above changing his lines. In a game, in a period, in a heartbeat.
On the heels of a couple days off since losing 4-2 in Tampa on Monday, Laviolette had four new lines as practice resumed Thursday at Skate Zone.
“I wouldn’t read anything into it,” Laviolette said. “We were missing guys out on the ice today, so you can probably scratch that story off.”
Well, then again … only one of those players missing was an every day regular – center Max Talbot.
Suffice to say, it would appear as though Scott Hartnell will remain off the top line. Matt Read has that spot with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek.
Danny Briere was bounced off Brayden Schenn’s line with Wayne Simmonds. Simon Gagne took his spot.
Briere is now on Sean Couturier’s line with Harry Zolnierczyk, who was recalled from the Phantoms, while Hartnell is on Ruslan Fedotenko’s line with Zac Rinaldo.
“We’ll see more about that tomorrow,” Flyers captain Claude Giroux said of the changes. “We just wanted to get a hard practice and drills and we’ll see then.”
