With Vinny Lecavalier and Scott Hartnell each sidelined for at least a week, the Flyers recalled two forwards from the Adirondack Phantoms on Saturday.

General manager Paul Holmgren announced Tye McGinn and Michael Raffl will join the big club in Detroit for Saturday's game against the Red Wings.

McGinn, 23, appeared in 18 games for the Flyers last season, collecting three goals and two assists. He registered 26 points (14 goals, 12 assists) in 46 games for the Phantoms last season.

The Flyers selected McGinn in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL draft. He had one goal over the Phantoms' first two games this season.

Raffl, 24, played in four games for the Flyers this past preseason after signing with the team as a free agent in May.

In two games with the Phantoms this season, Raffl has registered a goal and two assists.

Lecavalier (lower body) and Hartnell (upper body) were both injured during the Flyers' 2-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday (see story). Both players are scheduled to undergo MRIs on Saturday.

The Flyers will finish the second half of a back-to-back with a 7 p.m. matchup against the Red Wings later this evening (see game notes). Both McGinn and Raffl will be available to play.
