Its not unusual that most prospects taken after the second or third round arent in attendance at the NHL draft.

In other words, until they get to camp, most people never get a chance to see them live and in person other than scouts.

Starting Monday, however, you can see all seven of this summers Flyers draft picks as their rookieprospect camp begins at Skate Zone in Voorhees, N.J.

Forty-three players will report Monday morning at 9 a.m. Half that number are invitees of the club, including Braydon Coburns brother, Greg, and James van Riemsdyks brother, Trevor. Both are defensemen.

This is the first chance for the Flyers to see towering goalie Anthony Stolarztheir second round pick this year - in net. Hes 6-foot-5.

The Flyers acquired that pick from Columbus in the Sergei Bobrovsky deal at the draft.

Theyre also eager to get a look at the four defensemen they selected, including 6-foot-3 Swede Fredrik Larsson, whom they took in the fourth round.

Camp begins with two days at Skate Zone, then breaks for the annual Trial on the Isles on Wednesday morning in Stone Harbor.

Camp then resumes in Voorhees on Thursday morning and goes through the weekend, culminating with Sunday mornings scrimmage at Skate Zone that closes the event.

Heres a list of the Flyers 2012 draft picks who will attend:

Free agency
Monday is reportedly the day Phoenix forward Shane Doan has set to decide whether he'll re-signs with the Coyotes or seek free agency.

Long-regarded as one of the true good guys in the sport, whose leadership and 16 years NHL experience are valued among a Stanley Cup contenders, Doan would garner considerable interest, including from the Flyers.

Doan wants to re-sign in Phoenix, but only if he feels comfortable the team is going to be there next season. All of that appeared to have been settled recently, but yet another lawsuit surrounding the team, its lease and ownership could delay things until late July.

Flyer sources say theyd be interested if Doan opts to leave, but Detroit and at least nine other clubs, according to reports, also view him as an attractive commodity.
