Michael Del Zotto (wrist) questionable Wednesday vs. Sharks

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Michael Del Zotto took an extended practice on Tuesday.

He missed Sunday night's loss in Anaheim with a left wrist injury and skated only a few minutes on the ice before leaving on Monday because of pain. His wrist was taped heavily.

Officially, the defenseman is questionable for Wednesday’s game for the Flyers against the Sharks.

“I just take it a day at a time and today there was progress,” Del Zotto said, adding, however, that had the Flyers played on Tuesday, he would not have been able to play.

He said he wants to be cautious in his return.

“It’s December,” he said. “It’s not something I want to come back and rush into it and then deal with it for a month or so. I want to take it a step at a time and be 100 percent.”

After waiving Sam Gagner on Tuesday, the Flyers have eight defensemen on the roster with the return of Mark Streit.
