NHL Notes: Coyotes get restraining order over lease

PHOENIX -- A judge granted a temporary restraining order Friday requested by the Arizona Coyotes to prevent the city of Glendale from dissolving its arena lease agreement with the team.

The order does not address whether the city must make the next payment due to IceArizona, the Coyotes' owner, for operating the arena.

Jim Condo, an attorney for the Coyotes, said the order during the last-minute hearing was just one step in what would be a long process.

"We're certainly fortunate the judge heard us this afternoon. We're certainly fortunate the judge has agreed to continue the case. I think we've got a lot of work ahead of us," Condo said (see full story).

Lightning: Bishop's status unclear for Game 5
BRANDON, Fla. -- Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper is unsure if injured goalie Ben Bishop will return for Saturday night's Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final against Chicago.

Bishop sat out the Lightning's 2-1 loss in Game 4 Wednesday night with an undisclosed lower body injury. The series is tied 2-2.

"I do not know sitting here today if Ben Bishop is going to play on Saturday," Cooper said after Friday's practice. "I hope he plays. I don't know if he's going to. He's got to get back on the ice. If he's not in the pregame skate (Saturday), that's a pretty good indication of whether he's going to play or not."

Bishop didn't practice Friday, which was predetermined (see full story).

Lightning: Killorn's strong play aiding postseason run
TAMPA, Fla.-- Alex Killorn doesn't have any qualms about graduating from a prestigious college and not pursuing a cushy job that might pay a lot of money but also keep him behind a desk in the office all day.

No, he's doing quite well wearing the uniform of the Tampa Bay Lightning and skating on a line with one of the NHL's biggest stars in the Stanley Cup Final.

Steven Stamkos, and even the young "Triplets" line of Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat, all receive a lot more recognition. However, the Harvard-educated Killorn is coolly showing how much he means to his team during an impressive playoff run.

The 25-year-old center is tied for sixth in the league with nine goals in 24 postseason games, two more than Stamkos, a three-time All-Star and two-time league goals-scored leader (see full story).
