6:40 - It is "ESPN: The Weekend" on ESPN, doing all their shows from Disney world. I don't get it really. I guess Disney is hurting for reasons for people to visit. Roger Clemmons just played Tracy McGrady in P.I.G. which wasn't very entertaining.
6:58 - Great N.Y. strip steak with asparagus and baked potato for dinner.
7:01 - Natalie Portman wears her costume from Star Wars to the Oscars.
7:07 - E! has Star Jones running the red carpet.  I don't know who is worse, her or Queen Latifah.

7:37 - Maryland had a shot to win it at the buzzer, but UNC comes up with the win.

7:59 - On my flight back from London I watched the movie Sideways, one of the two movies I actually saw (The Aviator) which is up for best picture.  Real funny movie, starring Virginia Madsen who is up for supporting actress.  She could use the support.
8:11 - Jamie Foxx wins the Oscar for Best Actor.  No, that doesn't happen until later.  If you wanted to bet on him to win the Oscar, sportsbook.com had him at 1-18.  Nuts.  Thats bet 18 dollars to win 1.
8:15 - Good looking women: Halle, Gwyneth twice, Scarlett, and Salma who is the hottest.
8:33 - 2 minutes and 54 seconds is the perfct time for a bag of popcorn in my microwave.
8:36 - Chris Rock is the man.  Standing Ovation?  Interesting.  "Rocky 5 Sucks!"  I thought the line about Bush working at the Gap and going to war with Banana Republic was pretty damn funny.
8:50 - Morgan Freeman wins for supporting actor, didn't see it.  I like Morgan, good work.  Renee Zellweger needs to eat, man.
8:55 - Robin Williams is the man.  The Incredibles wins for best animated film.
9:05 - Beyonce got changed, but still looks hot.  No idea what she is singing about though, sounds good though.
9:12 - Chris Rock is all about black jokes.  They were average funny, not great.
9:22 - Cate Blanchett wins for best supporting actress for The Aviator.  Chris Rock cracked on Tim Robbins for his politics, its about time someone ripped on him.
9:37 - I still hate the Counting Crows.  They are the worst.  Nice hair.
9:50 - Al Pacino is giving out some award, this show is kind of boring to tell you the truth.. and there isn't much else on.

10:04 - The lady from Phantom of the Opera is very nice.  Beyonce got changed, again?  She can sure sing.
10:09 - Dwayne Wade is absolutely nasty.
10:25 - Salma Hayek is phenomenal.  Chris Rock had a pretty good joke saying "you won't be able to take your eyes off the next four presentors" talking about Salma and Penelope Cruz.  Santana and Antonio Banderas were pretty awful.
10:39 - Good Oprah joke by CRock: Oprah is so rich, I saw John Kerry proposing to her about an hour ago.
10:56 - Jesus Beyonce!  She is back again!  In another dress, still looking hot.  She is the big winner at the Oscars.

Best of NHL: Trocheck's last-second goal lifts Panthers past Blues

Best of NHL: Trocheck's last-second goal lifts Panthers past Blues

ST. LOUIS -- Vincent Trocheck scored with just under 5 seconds remaining to lift the Florida Panthers to a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Monday night.

Jonathan Marchessault also scored and James Reimer stopped 26 shots to help the Panthers complete a 5-0 road trip -- their first perfect trip of at least that many games in franchise history.

Reimer has won five straight decisions and has not lost in regulation since Jan. 7 against Boston, going 6-0-1 since.

The Panthers moved into a tie with Boston for third place in the Atlantic Division, but have the edge because they have a game in hand on the Bruins.

Kyle Brodziak, playing for the second time after missing 10 games due to a broken foot, scored for the Blues and Jake Allen finished with 31 saves. St. Louis lost its second straight since winning six in a row (see full recap).

Coyotes use three-goal 1st period to beat Ducks
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Radim Vrbata capped Arizona's three-goal first period and the Coyotes held on for 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night.

Christian Dvorak and Jakob Chychrun also scored for Arizona, and starting goalie Mike Smith had 27 saves before leaving about 4 1/2 minutes into the third period after a collision in the net. Marek Langhamer helped kill a power play after being pressed into action for his NHL debut and stopped six of the seven shots he faced.

The Coyotes have won four of their last six.

Langhamer gave up Ryan Getzlaf's second goal of the night with 26.8 seconds to play, but thwarted two quality shots in the final seconds.

Jonathan Bernier gave up three goals on six shots in the first period for the Ducks. John Gibson came on to start the second and stopped all 14 shots he faced (see full recap).

Joel Embiid admits to reaggravating foot injury after 2014 surgery, almost quitting

Joel Embiid admits to reaggravating foot injury after 2014 surgery, almost quitting

Joel Embiid trusts the Process, more so than anyone — the process of patience.

After sitting out two whole seasons because of foot injuries, Embiid learned the importance of patience the hard way.

Appearing on NBA TV's Open Court, Joel Embiid opened up about how he reaggravated the fracture in his foot that cost him the 2015-16 season.

"I didn't know how to deal with patience," Embiid said on the roundtable discussion. "I just wanted to do stuff, that's why I think I needed a second surgery, because after my first one, I just wanted to play basketball again. I just wanted to be on the court and I pushed through what I wasn't supposed to.

"At one point I thought about quitting. I just wanted to come back home and just forget everything."

Embiid goes on to discuss the Sixers' turnaround this season and his mindset during his recovery. Watch the full clip below.

Embiid also said he models his game after Hakeem Olajuwon.
