Seven players from four City 6 teams were included in National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I All-District teams, which were announced Wednesday.
St. Joe's senior guard Langston Galloway, who led the Hawks in scoring by averaging 17.0 points per game, made the District 4 First Team. Senior forward Halil Kanacevic (10.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game) and La Salle senior guard Tyreek Duren (15.2 points per game) made the District 4 Second Team.
Villanova senior guard James Bell, who averaged a team-high 14.9 points per game in the regular season, was named to the District 5 First Team. The Wildcats' JayVaughn Pinkston (14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game) was named to the Second Team.
And the Drexel Dragons were recognized in District 10, with senior point guard Frantz Massenat (17.5 points and 4.7 assists per game) being named to the First Team and senior guard Chris Fouch (18.3 points per game) making the Second Team.
Massenat and Fouch saw their final seasons in the City 6 close this past Saturday in the first round of the CAA tournament.
Villanova's season continues Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament. La Salle and St. Joe's continue their respective seasons in the Atlantic 10 tournament with the Explorers playing Thursday and the Hawks starting tournament play Friday.
