Lavoy Allen heads All-Big Five first team

Temples Lavoy Allen heads the All-Big Five first team and has been voted the Philadelphia Big Fives Outstanding Player of the Year.

The Herb Good Basketball Club gives out this award every year and Allen will receive the Robert V. Geasey Trophy (Outstanding Player of the Year) for his accomplishments.

This past season, Allen averaged 11.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

The All-Big Five first team will also include Allens teammate Ramone Moore, Villanovas Corey Fisher and Corey Stokes, and Penns Zack Rosen.

The second team includes Temples Juan Fernandez, Penns Jack Eggleston, Saint Josephs Carl Jones, La Salles Aaric Murray and Villanovas Maalik Wayns.

The Philadelphia Big Five banquet will be held Monday, April 25 at the Liacouras Center.
