There is no verbal commitment, no written commitment and no oral commitment, said Patrick J. OConnor, Chairman of Temples Board of Trustees. We are still evaluating. That is a fact.

Already in negotiations with their two current conferencesthe Mid-American (football) and Atlantic 10 (all other sports)Temple is also in talks with the Big East and Conference USA for the 2012-13 season and beyond.

Were not going to make a decision that hurts our students and puts us at an economic disadvantage, he said. It has to be economically beneficial for Temple.

OConnor said the school is still considering its options and is not facing a specific deadline to make a decision.

Temple is still evaluating whats best for Temple, he said.
