STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State wide receiver Curtis Drake hurt his left leg this week in a non-contract drill, and the team said Friday he will miss the rest of spring practice.

Drake missed his entire sophomore season in 2010 after breaking the same leg last August. A former high school quarterback, Drake was expected to play a key role in coach Joe Paterno's offense with his ability to line up all over the field.

Penn State still remains relatively strong at receiver with Derek Moye, Justin Brown and Devon Smith returning from last year's squad.

The Nittany Lions' annual Blue-White scrimmage is scheduled for April 16.
