Former Temple point guard Rick Brunson on Thursday pled not guilty in a Lake County, Illinois courtroom to charges from his June 25 arrest, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Brunson is charged with attempted criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual abuse, aggravated battery and domestic battery after the alleged incident took place April 2 at LifeTime Fitness in Vernon Hills, Illinois.

The 42-year-old allegedly grabbed an employee during a massage, who previously asked Brunson to stop requesting her services.

The Chicago Sun-Times on July 8 reported Brunson used Patrick Ewing's name to book an appointment after the masseuse's request.

On the same day of his arrest, the news broke Temple was set to name Brunson an assistant coach under Fran Dunphy. Temple has since been quiet on the Brunson front.

Brunson played four seasons at Temple, from 1991-95. He played for eight teams, most notably the Bulls, in the NBA from 1996-2006. He's worked as an assistant coach for three teams in the NBA — Denver, Chicago and Charlotte — and Virginia in the NCAA.
