And another transfer lands on Olney Ave.
Jordan Price is leaving Auburn and heading to La Salle, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to CSNPhilly.com. The source spoke on condition of anonymity as Price's paperwork has yet to be filed.
The transfer was first reported by Garrett Tucker of Future150.com.
Price, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound shooting guard from Decatur, Ga., announced his decision to leave Auburn back in April after one season with the Tigers program. He averaged 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 27 games as a freshman.
A four-star recruit out of high school, Price was heating up at Auburn -- scoring in double figures four times in six games and hitting an SEC-tying 11 three-pointers in a row -- before he missed three weeks in middle of the season with a stress fracture in his foot and struggled for the remainder of year.
Price is the second transfer head coach John Giannini has landed this year, following Cleon Roberts out of Georgia Southern. He's also the latest in a line of recent transfers to the program under Giannini, including Earl Pettis, Ramon Galloway, Tyrone Garland and Khalid Lewis, the last of whom will join the program this season.
Price will sit out the 2013-14 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules and have three years of eligibility remaining.
