Villanova will play 13 games next season against teams that appeared in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats' schedule, released Tuesday, features some intriguing matchups.
In addition to the 18 Big East games and four Big 5 games on its schedule, Villanova also plays major programs like Oklahoma, Virginia and Stanford.
Villanova opens the season on Nov. 3 against Fairleigh Dickinson before facing Nebraska at home in the inaugural Gavitt Games.
The Wildcats will also participate in the NIT Tip-off from Nov. 20-27. Jay Wright's team hosts Nebraska and East Tennessee State in the regional round before heading to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the final two games of the early-season tournament.
Villanova has three games at the Wells Fargo Center: Jan. 23 vs. Providence, Feb. 13 vs. St. John's and March 5 vs. Georgetown. The Big East Tournament follows from March 9-12.
