For the second year in a row, the Villanova Wildcats are set to clash with former Big East rival, the Syracuse Orange.
The Wildcats will play host to the Orange at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, Dec. 20 in a non-conference matchup, the team announced Friday morning.
Villanova and Syracuse were longstanding members of the Big East conference and played each other twice a year before the Orange left for the ACC after the 2012-13 season.
Last year, in a showdown of two Top 10 teams, Syracuse handed Villanova its first loss of the season in a 76-62 decision at the Carrier Dome in New York. Villanova ended the 2013-14 season with a 29-5 record.
Both teams have a three-year agreement and will play again in the 2014-15 season at Madison Square Garden.
