Would You Follow Temple Football to Hawaii?

The Inqy's Keith Pompey has confirmed according to a source that Temple is in negotiations to potentially play a game at Hawaii this December.

Pompey's writeup follows an initial report from the Honolulu Star Advertiser, who pulled this quote from Hawaii's acting athletic director, Rockne Frietas:

"It's very far from a done deal.

"We're going through the due diligence."

Temple has been in search of a 12th opponent for its 2012 football schedule since last spring. The Owls' move to the Big East left them with just 11 games on their slate after a previously scheduled out-of-conference matchup with UConn became an in-conference game.

Another game gives the Owls an extra chance to get bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive year. As matters currently stand, without a 12th opponent, Temple will have to go 3-2 over its final five games — at Pitt, at Louisville, vs. Cinci, at Army, vs. Syracuse — to get eligible.

Would you follow Temple to Hawaii? Of course not — you won't follow the Owls to South Philly.
